Nasolabial Fold Filler Gold Coast ~ Soften Hollows, Reduce Lines & Restore Volume

Nasolabial Folds are the lines from the nose to the corner of the mouth.

The reasons we treat Nasolabial Folds:

to soften the hollow or fold.

to improve lines in this area.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Anyone who has noticed hollowing in this area over time. Usually becomes noticeable in our 30s and 40s.

The nasolabials can often be softened nicely with fillers placed in the cheeks to re-volumize them, which in turn lifts the skin off the nasolabials reducing their depth.

Restoring mid-face volume is the first step in treating the nasolabial folds. Once this has been done, then placing filler directly into the fold is recommended.

What product do you use?

We treat the nasolabial folds with long lasting dermal filler. For info on cheek fillers click here.

Our fillers are natural hyaluronic acid (HA) based gels that break down naturally in the body over time. This HA gel attracts and binds water.

HA fillers are not permanent – which is a good thing. They are biodegradable.

How long does the procedure take?

Nasolabial fold treatments usually take between 30-45 mins depending on whether you need a little in your cheeks too.

Does the treatment hurt?

Most people find the procedure quite comfortable. There may be a slight sting when the local anaesthetic goes in, but other than that most clients say it just feels a little ‘weird’ that’s all.

All our fillers contain local anaesthetic making most treatments quite comfortable.

Is there any downtime?

Following your nasolabial treatment you may or may not have slight bruising. You will also experience some mild swelling that really only you will notice and lasts about 48-72 hours.

Natural mineral makeup powder can be applied on the day of treatment.

If it is your first treatment it is best to come after work or on your days off as usually clients are nervous and don’t really know what to expect!

No vigorous exercise is permitted for 24-48 hours after treatment.

No beauty treatments on the face, skin peels, or microdermabrasion treatments are to be done for 2-4 weeks post cheek filler.

Your after care will be given to you at the time of treatment.

How long does Nasolabial Fold filler last?

The dermal filler we use in the nasolabial area is a nice thick HA gel designed to last around 18 months. It can even last 2+ years in this area making it a great investment!

This also depends on your metabolism, lifestyle, genetics and how much filler you opt to have in your nasolabials.

How soon can I have more?

We recommend waiting 4-6 weeks after your nasolabial treatment before having more filler placed in them. The filler is still expanding and settling in until this stage.

It is natural to have a bit of a hollow in the nasolabial area and it looks unusual if over-filled. Less is best here.

How much does the treatment cost?

The filler comes in 1ml syringes and we generally recommend first timers have 0.5ml each side to begin with. This will still be subtle and natural, but you will notice a difference.

If your folds are deep you may need 1ml each side.

1ml nasolabial filler starts at $450.

2mls $880.
