Sculptra® Services Available from Injectable Effects

Sculptra® is a facial contour treatment often referred to as a liquid facelift. Results are natural and youthful without looking as if you’ve had anything done.

It helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments, restoring volume and a natural fullness to your face over time – results can last up to two years.

Sculpture contains a substance called PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid). It is injected deep under your skin, where it works with your body to stimulate and revitalise natural collagen production. As collagen production is stimulated, the skin starts to regain its structure and volume, meaning wrinkles and defects are gradually corrected.Sculpture stimulates the body’s ability to produce collagen, restoring the skins’ structure and renewing its natural firmness.

Collagen is the foundation of skin. Along with the bone, muscle and fat changes that take place as we age, collagen loss starts to occur. Collagen provides virtual support and structure to the skin. Is it diminishes, we start to see the formation of lines and wrinkles, and loss of overall volume.

Typically 2 or new more 3 treatments every 4-6 weeks, results develop gradually as collagen production is stimulated and skin appearance improves

Each treatment takes about 30-45 minutes. The number of appointments and injections required per appointment will vary from person to person depending on how much collagen has been lost.

We use topical anaesthetics. There is virtually no pain or discomfort during treatment.

No there is no downtime

Sculptra is different to dermal filler in that it uses poly-L-lactic acid (dermal filler is made of hyaluronic acid) which works to replace lost collagen. The effects therefore increase over time and will subtly and gradually replenish volume in your face. Results last longer.
