Double Chin Removal Gold Coast ~ Fat Dissolving Injections for Contoured Jawline
Chin Fat Dissolving Treatment
Do you find yourself balking at photo opportunities because you are worried about your double chin? You are not alone and the team at Injectable Effects can help you gain your confidence back with our Chin Fat Dissolving Treatment.
This treatment is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe fullness under the chin – both men and women!
Ageing, genetics and weight changes can all contribute to a ‘double chin’ and unfortunately, the fullness can not always be exercised away. In fact, even diet will not always reduce a double chin, the result being that you look heavier (and older) than you actually are.
The great news is that our Chin Fat Dissolving Treatment is suitable for people between the ages of 18 and 65 years old, so no matter what stage you are in your life, we can help you get your photo-mojo back!
How Does the chin fat dissolving work?
The active ingredient used in this treatment is an acid that naturally occurs in our body! Its role is to break down dietary fat, that is, fat that forms part of the food we eat.
When injected into the tissue under the chin, this natural acid helps to break down fat cells. Once these fat cells are permanently broken down the contained fat is released and destroyed by the body. The result is a more defined jawline and contoured neck profile.
The active ingredient that we use for this process is a prescription-only medication. That means that this treatment is only available from a licensed clinician.
What is involved in the treatment?
Prior to any treatments, you must have a free consultation with Injectable Effects to make sure you are a suitable candidate for the treatment.
Your chin fat treatments will be an hour long, but the actual injections themselves only take 10-15mins.
The appointment will proceed as follows:
» Before pics are taken, consent is obtained and the treatment, including after care, is discussed fully.
» Your anatomy is marked up and a special grid is placed on the treatment area (see pic).
» Local anaesthetic injections are used to numb the area prior to treatment.
» Small injections of the fat dissolving solution are then injected into the grid markings.
You are fine to drive home afterwards and will just have a swollen, pink area under your chin.
Are Double Chin Injections Painful?
Most people find the treatment quite tolerable. Ice is used to cool and ‘numb’ the skin, then small local anaesthetic injections are placed through-out the treatment area, so nothing is felt after this.
Is there downtime?
You do not need to take time off work, however you will be a bit swollen in the area treated and may have some bruising too.
Most people report numbness, heaviness, swelling and slight bruising at some of the needle sites for a few days afterwards.
You may take paracetamol and anti-inflammatories, such as neurofen, after the treatments should you feel any pain or discomfort.
You do not need to ice the area after your treatments.
Vigorous exercise should be avoided for 24-48 hours after your treatment.
How many treatments do I need?
You will be happy to hear that most people notice a visible change in their chin & neck profile after just 2-4 sessions. Others may require up to 6 treatments to experience the best results.
The treatments are spaced 6+ weeks apart and each treatment is customised to your individual anatomy and desired outcome.
Is Double Chin Removal permanent?
The fat cells that are destroyed at each treatment do not come back, so your results are permanent.
If all your fat cells are not destroyed (say you only have 1 or 2 treatments) then the remaining ones will still carry fat and may result in increased heaviness over time.
Are there any side effects from fat dissolving injections?
Many people report feeling mild to moderate discomfort at the time of treatment. In addition, there are several other side effects that may occur due to the injectable nature of the treatment. These include, swelling, bruising, numbness and hardness around the area treated.
Other side effects are much less common but should be reported to the clinic if experienced. These include:
» High blood pressure
» Trouble swallowing
» An uneven smile
» Taste disturbances
» An ulcer (open sore) at an injection site
